Meet the Miami Springs Team Behind Winslow Windows & Doors
You won’t find rotating subcontractor crews or a different face on every visit with Winslow. The team that shows up to your Miami Springs home is our team, local guys who know this city’s blocks, its building quirks, and what salt air and hurricane season do to a window frame. We’ve worked together for years, not weeks. Most of us live within 20 minutes of the shop. That changes how a job gets done because we’re fixing windows in neighborhoods where we bump into clients at the grocery store. Ed’s name is on the door, and the crew we’ve built carries that same standard, one install at a time.
Our People
Ray M. – Lead Technician
Ray has been hanging windows in Miami-Dade County since 2008, and he’s been with Winslow since 2015, longer than anyone else on the install side. He holds certification with PGT and CGI for impact-rated installation, which matters more than most homeowners realize. An impact window is only as good as the fastening system around it, and Ray treats the manufacturer’s spec like a contract, not a suggestion. He’s the guy we send when an opening is out of square, when a concrete lintel won’t cooperate, or when a high-rise balcony makes the job complicated. Ray is quiet until you get him talking about fishing, at which point he’ll tell you exactly where the snook are biting off the Miami Springs bridge and what they’re not eating this week.
Danny C. – Senior Installer
Danny came up in general construction before narrowing his focus to doors and windows, and that broad background shows. He understands load paths, flashing details, and the way water actually moves around a wall opening in a Florida downpour. Danny specializes in sliding glass and patio door retrofits, which are some of the most finicky installs we do. A 12-foot slider that doesn’t glide right will frustrate you every single day, so Danny spends extra time on shimming, leveling, and testing the track before he calls a job done. He also handles most of our roof-related window work, like skylight replacements and dormer windows. Danny’s one human quirk: he brings a tape measure he’s owned since trade school and refuses to retire it, even though the numbers are nearly worn off.
Liz T. – Service Coordinator
If you call Winslow Windows & Doors, there’s a good chance Liz is the person who answers. She’s been our service coordinator since 2017 and has a near-photographic memory for every job that’s ever crossed the schedule. Liz knows what permits are needed for a window replacement in Miami Springs versus unincorporated Miami-Dade, and she’s the one chasing down product lead times so your install date doesn’t drift. She schedules our background-checked, uniformed technicians, confirms arrival windows, and makes sure walkthroughs happen when they’re supposed to. Liz is a Miami Springs native, born and raised near the circle, and she will absolutely ask how your kids are doing when she calls to confirm an appointment.
Marco R. – Apprentice Installer
Marco joined the crew in 2023 as an apprentice after finishing a building trades program at Miami Dade College. He works alongside Ray and Danny on nearly every install, learning impact fastener patterns, sealant application, and the way we flash openings in CMU block versus wood frame homes. Marco is already measuring and cutting under supervision, and he’s earning his manufacturer certifications with PGT and Therma-Tru as part of his training track. What sets Marco apart is his energy; he’s the one hauling stone and glass up a third-floor scaffold without complaint and asking questions about why a header matters. When he’s not on a job site, Marco coaches youth soccer at a park near Virginia Gardens, so if he looks familiar, that’s probably why.
One Standard, Every Job
Every crew member at Winslow Windows & Doors, from Ray on the install side to Liz on the phone, works under the same promise: the Done Right Promise. If a job isn’t done right, we make it right. No fine print, no argument, no waiting for a district manager to approve a fix. That’s a lasting standard Ed put in writing because he got tired of watching national chains hide behind warranty departments. Our technicians arrive background-checked and in uniform, so you know exactly who is walking up your driveway. We quote upfront pricing before work begins, and the number on the invoice matches the number on the estimate. Ed’s name is on the door, and in a place like Miami Springs, where neighbors talk, that accountability is the whole business model.
